TripTelevision Partners with ICE Portal

July 29, 2008 (HotelNewsResource.com) - TripTelevision has partnered with global distributor, ICE Portal (ICE), in a move geared towards renovating and reshaping the online video experience.

As consumers become increasingly more interested in web-based videos, more and more people are relying on the Internet for their travel and tourism decision-making. Together, TripTelevision and ICE Portal will work towards capitalizing on the current trends and will aim to create a world-wide rich media environment for the online consumer.

"ICE Portal has an extensive, global distribution network that is rapidly growing," said ICE Portal President Henry Woodman. "Each year more consumers are demanding to see visuals on the travel sites that they frequent. As video and other types of rich media become a greater influencing factor in online travel booking behavior, travel suppliers must find a way to differentiate themselves from their competition."

"It’s tough out there! Travel retailers must find new ways to stand out in the crowded online environment, get their brand noticed and in front of as many consumers as possible," added Kim Rose, the chief sales and marketing officer for TripTelevision. "That’s why we’re absolutely thrilled to be teamed up with ICE Portal. The winning combination of TripTelevision’s 'Intelligent Selection' smart video technology and ICE Portal’s global distribution network is sure to provide the travel industry with the power to engage more customers, generate more sales and increase profits."

TripTelevision Brings Entertainment, Interaction, and Personalization to Travel Buyers during Their Online Experience

February 2008 (Denver, Colorado) - The TripTelevision product offers a comprehensive marketing platform that allows travel retailers to visually direct their customers through an intelligent, data-streaming, television-like experience complete with search, play/pause and preferential view features, via their own websites. Notable among the features is the architecture that makes the video player ‘smart’. Built with the consumer in mind, this platform is capable of learning about the viewer so that the player can help the viewer discover media personalized to his or her choices and present it in an entertaining way. Each time a customer selects a video clip to watch, the TripTelevision technology tracks their habits and patterns to launch more relevant video.

"We’re very excited about what TripTelevision brings to the travel marketplace! We believe that our product will bring a substantial and disruptive technological advancement and will change the landscape of online travel marketing forever," said Kim Rose, chief sales and marketing officer.

The digital revolution as well as Web 2.0 has caused a profound shift in how travel will be marketed and sold to consumers. This shift in online buying patterns is a result of advancing video technologies combined with the technical evolution of computer upgrades, savvy shoppers and the growing ‘all about me’ consumer mentality.

Other unique features include a viewing-history pane that allows users to return to earlier clips as well as numerous navigational refinements allowing consumers to filter the content they see in many ways - by destination, resort, with or without stored viewer preferences. Everyone who watches the viewer sees something different - something right for them.

"Our technology is different from others in the market today. Unlike traditional flash players, the TripTelevision player interacts with customers to deliver more of what they prefer. The user can create their own profile to establish their preferences or the technology will build one on its own. This enables travel retailers to truly promote and support travel shopping rather than destination viewing while shrinking the view-to-purchase gap. For the first time in history, technology has been developed that takes static media and turns it into a dynamic, participative, individually-targeted sales tool," said Rose.

TripTelevision Announces an Industry-Changing Sales and Marketing Tool that Creates a Highly Personalized Online Consumer Experience

December 2007 (Denver, CO) - TripTelevision, LLC, a new media and content management company, announced the launch of a powerful new sales and marketing platform.

"TripTelevision combines a proven, state-of-the-art digital media tool with streaming destination and brand video to deliver a truly unique product that will undoubtedly assist in the growth of online retailer sales," said Kulin Strimbu, chief operations officer.

Currently, the only opportunity that exists for an online retailer to create a customer experience is to post a video clip on their website. The video is a static stream that can be started and stopped; however there is no call to action within the program or the ability to track the preferences of each visitor.

Introduction of the TripTelevision product provides new tools that allow travel retailers to target their audience more effectively to increase sales volume and co-op marketing support. Virtually every online travel seller will benefit from the TripTelevision product.

"The constant movement of the video, the targeted marketing and the call-to-action creates the ultimate online travel experience", said Kim Rose, chief sales and marketing officer.
